Ms. Sharon L. Gander, M.Ed., CPT has twenty five years leading strategic performance improvement projects.  She specializes in accreditation development, learning solution development and learning/knowledge infrastructures.  She has worked with government, education, heath care, information technology, veterinary medicine, supply chain logistics, energy sector, and not-for-profits.

She is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) since 2005, has renewed successfully every three years and participates as an application reviewer in the CPT double-blind application review process for the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI).  In addition, she has been active in the development of three new accreditations for ISPI.

Ms. Gander has a special interest in life/bio-sciences that shows in her work with healthcare IT and veterinary medicine.  One special course was co-developed with a professor of genomics preparing software developers to create bio-infomatics software that would withstand the rigors of FDA medical devise testing. She was a volunteer docent in the “on floor” lab at the Science Museum of Minnesota teaching concepts in acids and bases, chromatography, bubbles, magnetism, forensics, motion, and more.

Ms. Gander has significant experience working with international task forces and subject experts.  Recently, she worked with the International Facility Managers Association in the development of accreditation test questions.  This project worked with subject experts in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, and China. An essential component of this project was special attention to Plain Language/Global English standards in order to create performance-based assessment questions that would be appropriate in all regions of the world.

Ms. Gander has a special interest in learning and knowledge management infrastructures and technologies.  She has integrated non-traditional software for courseware development and deployment via a non-traditional virtual platform, developed courseware design methodologies, developed courses and instructor training for traditional online learning platforms, and promoted learning management solutions for small businesses.   She has been working with technology for learning and development since 1980 and continues to update her skills for emerging tools and practices.
